Kusadasi International Golf Resort

Frontline properties are now available at Turkey’s first residential golfing resort.

--- Kusadasi is located on the west coast of Turkey, in the Bodrum area and is one of the premier holiday locations in Turkey. Known as the Pearl of the Aegean, its numerous powdery beaches and sparkling clear waters are legendary. Also well known for its variety of entertainment and night life, Kusadasi has a typical Mediterranean climate of hot summers and mild winters, and more than 300 days of sunshine a year.

Just outside Kusadasi centre is Turkey's first residential golfing resort. The international 18 hole course has been built by the very experienced Spanish Aymerich Golf Design Company. Located on the crest of a hill, overlooking green valleys and with a fabulous view of the sea, frontline golf properties on the resort are now available and range from 1 to 3 bedroom apartments and villas.

All properties come with fully fitted and equipped kitchens and air conditioning. Residents will have access to all facilities on the golf resort which provide for every need and requirement. Restaurants, cafes, shopping, and a supermarket with pharmacy; a fitness centre with sauna and Turkish Bath; a heated indoor pool and communal pools; a playground and variety of sports including archery, volleyball and tennis.

After a great game of golf, swim in one of the pools or a stroll around the shopping centre, you can take one of the onsite shuttle buses into town and then explore Kusadasi itself. Here there is entertainment on tap all day every day. For adults and children alike, the choice is exceptional. Stroll around the Camlik Train Museum, drink apple tea at the Fisherman's Café. Aqua fantasy water park is a must see, with themed slides and pools, a dream world of adventure and a chance to do something really different.

If you prefer to lie on the beach, there are almost too many to choose from. Long beach is closest to the golf resort but there is also the City Beach, Pigeon Island Beach, Ladies' Beach to name just a few. The sparkling clear waters of the Aegean will make anyone want to just jump in. For the water sport lovers again, the choice is plentiful. Kustur and Tuscan Beaches are well known for their range of activities including snorkelling, reef diving and water skiing.

The sightseeing possibilities are plentiful but for a taste of real Turkish life, you should take a morning stroll down to the famous Friday Market where local villagers bring a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. With your bags full of market goodies, you can take a local minibus to one of the surrounding local attractions, of which there are many.

Pigeon Island, although no longer an island as such, should almost be known as the symbol of Kusadasi. Originally called Bird Island - now the name taken by the mainland ('Kusadasi' means 'bird island') - Pigeon Island was a place where birds stopped during seasonal migration. It is a fascinating place to visit with its Byzantine Pirate Castle in its centre, so named after its defensive role against pirates. Pigeon Island can be reached via a short walk from the main land and is also home to a beautiful private beach with translucent waters.

Another must see around Kusadasi is the National Park. Just 30km south, it is an ideal place to escape for a picnic, walk in the natural clean landscape, explore private bays, and if you are lucky, observe one of the families of wild pig that live in the park.

Eating out is truly an experience, with numerous Aegean specialities and daily fresh fish to choose from. While traditionally, only men frequent the coffee houses, where also a lot of tea is drunk, everyone should try the local coffee, tea and other popular drinks of Raki and Ayran, (a mix of yoghurt and water) in one of the many lively cafes bars or restaurants.

After a long evening meal, you will find an exotic mix of nightlife on offer in Kusadasi. Stroll inside the old city walls, Kalecici, and you will find bars, restaurants, live music and discos. Outside there are two main streets of bars. On one, a huge variety of Turkish bars, the other, a row of Irish. If you prefer to feel the sea breeze as well as drinking the cocktails, head down to one of the numerous beach clubs and watch the sunset over the Aegean.

Hours of entertainment are on offer together with the opportunity just to relax. Unwind in your own space, drinking in only the surrounding countryside and breathtaking sea views. Kusadasi has something to offer everyone, and the golf resort is something special indeed: a haven of luxury and comfort within easy reach of both Izmir and Bodrum airports.

Prices for properties at Kusadasi International Golf Resort start at £64,194.
