Calis

Just 15 minutes away from Fethiye, Calis is a very beautiful and safe beach resort.

Bars and restaurants line the beach area, which is block paved along the seafront and there are plenty of traditional Turkish shops to temp you with jewellery, local handicrafts and Turkish delight.

The beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea lap the glorious sands where the sea turtle Caretta Caretta lays her eggs on one of only 17 nesting areas along the Mediterranean.

A waterfront destination, Calis is famous for its 12 km long beach and its spectacular sunsets.

Some water sports are available and Calis has it's own waterpark too.

The resort is very flat, so is ideal for people with mobility restrictions and it has a fairly low key night life so suited to people requiring a restful night! However live music and often belly-dancing can be found in the high season. More active nightlife can be had in nearby Fethiye town.

Boat trips to nearby islands are available together with fishing trips including shark fishing.
